Talking Tech: Identity Crisis – NIST’s Trusted Identity Program

The average person has between eight and 17 passwords. Many of those are simple and easy to guess. And for others, trying to remember them all is a mind-bending challenge. The National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace – NSTIC – is working to develop a national digital standard for secure logins. But can such a government-driven standard ensure individual privacy? NSTIC aims to do just that.
